The main goal of the Youth and Climate Change Experience Sharing session was to give young people the opportunity to consider the phenomenon of climate change and its impact on the territory and on their lives. The aim was to also discover how they see the problem of global warming, reflect on it and gather their proposals.
The Youth and Climate Change Experience Sharing experience sharing, organised by Naturklima and Gipuzkoa Provincial Council’s Department of the Environment, was an initiative with young people to raise awareness, increase knowledge and help to move forward as regards climate change.
The session was in response to the need to create a roadmap to define a sustainable future for territories and cities that will involve input from all stakeholders, including from young people. In this regard, the session, organised as a cooperation and work space and held at Miramón Technology Park with students from Tolosa (Gipuzkoa) and Menem (Flanders), was an opportunity for young people to share their experience in climate change and sustainability, and identify climate change mitigation and adaptation projects. The session was based on participation dynamics and games, from which several proposals have been gathered and which will be analysed by the Department to incorporate them in their plans of actions and in their envisaged awareness campaigns in this field.
