UHINAK, VI Cross border conference on climate and coastal change

Uhinak is a cross-border congress about the way climate change and extreme weather phenomena affect coastal areas in Atlantic Europe. Uhinak's objective is to learn about the needs of managers in the face of climate change and to see what the scientific world can contribute to solving them.
Objectives
- Actions and solutions: Become acquainted with actions and solutions that entail adopting the measures needed to defend and protect the coast to tackle the consequences of climate change.
- Experiences. Learn from experiences and best practices and collaborate in coastal management and maintenance.
- Cross-border collaboration: Promote cross-border collaboration and the creation of synergies.
- New business openings: Recognise new business openings in the sector.
Who is this aimed that
- Political and technical representatives for coastal regions and municipalities and other administrations with power in this area.
- Experts at technology and research centres. Universities.
- Sector businesses (environmental consulting, engineering firms, building companies…), businesses with an interest in new opportunities opening in the sector and business associations.
Abstracts
The Technical Committee of the VI. Uhinak Congress invites abstracts to be presented during the congress. In this sixth edition, the scope of study has been extended to cover the Atlantic Arc. The deadline for receipt of abstracts is 16 May.
Accepted papers will have the possibility of being published (in an extended abstract version) in the Revista de Investigación Marina (RIM) published by AZTI.
