The Basque Region presents Urban Klima 2050 - a pioneering climate action project - at the COP26 in Glasgow

- Amaia Barredo, vice minister for Environmental Sustainability of the Basque Government, is to take part in a meeting entitled “From policy design to application: innovative regional solutions for adapting to climate change”.
The LIFE IP Urban Klima 2050 project is taking part in the COP26 in Glasgow, an event taking place from 31 October to 12 November. Amaia Barredo, vice minister for Environmental Sustainability of the Basque Government, will present the Basque Country’s main climate action project for the coming years during a meeting entitled “From policy design to application: innovative regional solutions for adapting to climate change”. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 9 November with a hybrid format (EU Pavilion in Glasgow – online, streaming available by prior registration).
This event will showcase initiatives for climate adaptation policy innovation (roadmaps to climate, energy, and blue economy transition), as well as practical implementation projects to shift towards new economic and territorial climate governance models with concrete impact in the territories. The event will focus on 4 leading experiences at regional level and their global replicability.
