Technical conference “Cities X Nature”

The technical conference “Cities X Nature”, to be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Europa Conference Center in Vitoria-Gasteiz, is an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and learn about best practices and urban naturalization projects developed in the city.

The conference will feature the participation of guest cities such as Barcelona and Bordeaux, which will present their respective naturalization strategies. In addition, Vitoria-Gasteiz will share details about its own urban green infrastructure strategy and will conduct a technical tour visiting several of the most notable projects implemented in the city.

The session is part of the Los Herrán Berria project, aimed at strengthening urban green infrastructure and renaturalizing the Los Herrán urban connector. This project is promoted by the City Council of Vitoria-Gasteiz, with the support of the Biodiversity Foundation, the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO), within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

The event is primarily aimed at technical staff from public administrations, but is also open to universities, research centers, companies, associations, and entities linked to green infrastructure, urban planning, and climate change adaptation.
