Klima Azoka tours the Basque Country to bring climate action closer to the public
20/10/2025
From 17 to 26 October, the ASTEKLIMA 2025 travelling fairs will offer citizens a range of workshops, games and participatory activities to promote energy transition and sustainability.
Klima Azoka will be one of the core events of ASTEKLIMA 2025, the Basque Country Climate and Energy Week, which will be held on 17-26 October in the three provinces. This travelling fair will turn the squares and public spaces of several towns into meeting points where citizens can learn, in a fun and practical way, how to help look after the planet and move towards a more sustainable energy model.
Klima Azoka will offer a wide variety of educational and informative proposals: interactive workshops, informative materials, energy and climate change games, participatory activities and sustainable gifts. These fairs aim to share environmental knowledge with the public in a fun and practical way, encouraging people to reflect on how small everyday actions can contribute to a more responsible and sustainable energy model.
They also include free, open and accessible activities, designed for all audiences and without having to book in advance. Children, families, young people and adults will be able to take part for free, discover new ways of reducing their environmental impact and share climate and energy experiences. Each event will become a meeting point and a place for citizens to lean and take climate action.
The route will include towns in the three provinces, starting in Getxo (18 October) and then moving on to Irún (19 October), Zalla (20 October), Amurrio (21 October), Arrasate (22 October), Legazpi (23 October), Mungia (24 October), Ortuella (25 October) and Sobrón (26 October). In each town, the activities will be promoted by the local councils and, in some cases, in collaboration with the Basque Government’s network of environmental centres in the Basque Country, called Ekoetxea.
